The Art of thinking

 

Why do we read books?  Of course its for many reasons, such as entertainment, motivation and the most important thing is for knowledge. The beauty of human civilization and our society is based on knowledge. No man or women could know about the earth, biology, chemistry or art. Thanks to our fellow human who is trying continuously to enhance our existing knowledge. 

I personally know many people who dont want to justify their knowledge because they already have a book and they believe that all the answers to all the questions in the world can be found in that book. does Quran tell us how to build a rocket ot go to moon? does Bible tell us how to perform a surgery? its possible today because of million of people contributed to the collective knowledge of human civilization to the best.

    lets talk about the difference between critical sense vs common sense. Critical and common sense both oppose each other. common sense comes from people's knowledge. for example if any issue comes up you decide the answer or from the little knowledge you have in your brain. there is a lot of things in this world that we dont know and you can't judge those with your common sense. applying common sense in those unknown phenomena is pointless.  

There was a time we thought the earth is flat. so the common sense people would walk through the earth to find an end. but critical thinkers found there is a problem with the statement that the earth is flat. because of their critical sense, we now know that the earth is actually round.
