Is it true that in Islam there is no compulsion for anyone to believe?
If we look at the verse 2:256 Allah said
"There is no compulsion in religion" . That means nobody can force you to accept Islam. But if we look at the verse right after that one 2:257 . Allah said that "those who chose not to believe they will be doomed ti eternal torture in hell"
So we can say that "You are under no obligation to accept my proposal. But if you reject it, I will torture you for eternity"
And also in verse 18: 29-30 Allah said
"The truth is from your lord, so whoever wills let him believe, and whoever wills let him disbelieve" Indeed, we have prepared for the wrongdoer a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds their faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place.
In other words it's up to you if you want to believe or not. But if you are one who has not believed or "done good deeda" you will forever be drinking viscous water that will burn your face . 🙂
